Our History: 30 Years of Crafting Coffee

Amy’s Espresso, Tulalip, WA
1996-2004

Amy’s journey began as an 18-year-old barista on the Tulalip Indian Reservation in Washington State. After tying the knot and welcoming their daughter Baylee into the world, Bary and Amy took a leap of faith, purchasing the coffee drive-thru where Amy first started. At just 21 years old, Amy’s Espresso was born. A couple of years later, they were blessed with the arrival of their son, Josiah. However, after eight years of running Amy’s Espresso, the couple reluctantly sold the shop, knowing they’d return to their coffee dreams someday.

Espresso Connection, Mt. Vernon, WA
2012-2020

After a brief hiatus to focus on raising their children, Amy was invited to manage a coffee drive-thru owned by close friends. Soon, the opportunity to buy the shop presented itself, and Amy’s Espresso, LLC became Espresso Connection. Bary, a dedicated teacher and coach, combined his passion for education with the love of coffee. Nevertheless, they chose to sell Espresso Connection, guided by the belief that sometimes, we give up things we love for things we love even more.

Amy’s Coffee Co. Temple, TX
2020-Present

With their children embarking on new adventures out of state and the desire to be close to their grandchildren, Amy and Bary made the heartfelt decision to sell their dream home, their coffee shop, and step back from education. Bary found an unexpected opportunity in the roofing industry in nearby Belton, TX, and Amy’s Coffee Co. was born. Their dedication to coffee lives on, now in Temple.
